Skywave Cable Communication Private Limited is an initiative of Cable Operators of Berhampore. It was started its operations in the year 2005 by the name of Sattyam Cable Network, at a time when cable was totally unorganized and fragmented but just taking off and strong and better technologies with more capital requirements became necessary. Our first office began from Station Road, Chuanpore in a rented building which is non-existing now. The pioneering idea came from the Skywave Group (erstwhile Sattyam Cable Network), who initiated forming partnership teams of some forward looking cable operators in Berhampore and organized a set up for a professionally run Cable business. After shifting to Gorabazar in 2013, other media synergies were formed. The formation of Skywave also put a strategic vision for the other media business of Skywave Group.
For its first project – Skywave Digital Channel (erstwhile Sattyam Digital) by created a niche of its own through its wide reach, variety of programming and popularity. SCCPL has a separate film library with a film strength more than 150 (one hundred& fifty) with telecast rights. Currently we telecasts more than 20 (twenty) variety programmes which attracts people of all classes, regions, gender and age.
For its second project – Shanti Bangla Channel, the devotional channel breaking away from the stereotype programmes like Satellite Channels in Bengali, Hindi & Urdu language. Our motto is to become a channel for the Bengal as well as India.We have also telecasting spiritual Live programme from ISKCON Mayapur. Its programmes aim to celebrate the culture and bring out the essence of, in all its diversity and splendor.
For its third project – Skywave Bangla Cinema Channel, which is capable of delivering popular and variety entertaining programmes to the nooks and corner of Bengal. SCCPL went on to become modern flourished as the premium cable movie channel of Bengal
For its fourth project – Darshan Tv News Channel, In order to diversify its content and launch News and News based programmes. It is the most popular for News and Chat Show. SCCPL has already formed Darshan Media Group for initiated certain business associations with some news channels house in the country, for national and global news content, exchange etc.
SCCPL channel operates from its own studio complex located at Berhampore, with an area of 3000 sq.ft. It has fully equipped studio floors apart from Transmission Unit.
Skywave is a joint venture between Meghbela Cable & Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd.
Within the short span of its existence, Skywave has succeeded in finding an own position and influence of its own in cable television industry.
